Georgina von Etzdorf represents one of the most longstanding and influential British design labels within the international fashion industry. Manchester Art Gallery is hosting a fascinating exhibition (23 September - 12 November 2006), which tells the story of the company and its sumptuous textiles through its innovative use of creative techniques with a range of materials from paper and embroidery to techno fabrics and fibres.

Manchester Art Gallery and Embroidery magazine are inviting 40 readers to take part in an exclusive Private View and Gallery Talk with Georgina von Etzdorf in Manchester on 22 September.
