The World of Embroidery

Twisted Rainbow

Jean Ball

Twisted Rainbow

Cotton threads using two-colour, interwoven blocks which are each split into three parts and twisted before the interlocking process with each other. The six units are joined only with beads and threads and then stitched to a black, fabric-covered board. The piece has no support other than the precision and stability of its own structure.
