There must be hundreds of us all over the country who have done the City & Guilds Embroidery course. When studying 'Foreign Embroidery', who has not been influenced by the 'Dowries of Kutch' in North India? The town of Bhuj, the epicentre of the recent horrific earthquake, was once the centre for those wonderful embroideries. I hope that as a mark of our gratitude for their inspiration, we will all contribute to the appeals for help for the stricken people of Gujarat.
