I am writing in response to your news item "Family Tree Exhibition" (The World of Embroidery, September 1999). My Mum and I both have a keen interest in creative embroidery that started with a GCSE in textiles which we have both completed. We have attended several workshops and I am currently studying City & Guilds. However, we find that our main source of inspiration comes from one another; we teach each other new ideas and techniques. We have recently completed our first commission for a work colleague of mine.
