November 2002
Thank you to all your readers who have sent money for the Rabari school project. It is a wonderful investment in the future of our caste.
Some building work at the new school site has started and more is planned as the funds from overseas slowly make their way to us. Some support has also come from within india. The Swaminarayans, a Hindu sect, have helped us with the construction of seven rooms and the Rajiv Ghandhi Foundation has built eight rooms. Nimish Patel, our architect, has recently sent us the master plan for the comprehensive development of the new site which includes our long-wished-for high school facility.
As you may gather, our spirits are high and we all feel that something special is emerging from the rubble of last year's earthquake.
We would be very happy for your readers to visit our school. You are all most welcome.
Kantibhai Ros, Principal
