Mace and Nairn

September 2000

As the new proprietor of Mace and Nairn I have been prompted by the News article (The World of Embroidery, May 2000) and several telephone calls from concerned customers to write and reintroduce myself and let you know what is happening.

I actually managed to continue the Mace and Nairn mail order business without a break when the shop closed with thanks to Peter and Sheila's help and as evidenced by my advert in the May edition.

Mace and Nairn has a fine reputation, which I hope to continue and build on. I have lots of plans for the future and hope that eventually that will include opening a new Mace and Nairn shop.

I was a little concerned that those who missed the advert but read the News article may have inadvertently been given the wrong impression, which has been borne out by several telephone calls (including an old Mace and Nairn customer who rang Tony Turnbull, the Advertisement Manager for The World of Embroidery). So I wonder if it would be possible for you to clarify the situation in the News section of the next issue.

I value the magazine both as an embroiderer and now advertiser, and look forward to an ongoing mutually beneficial relationship.
