I belong to a textile group in North Wales called Future Sutures and recently a few of the members had a friendly discussion on the use of embroidery machines in our work. I think we all agreed that they could be used very creatively and that they make a welcome addition to the tools of our craft. But not everyone is lucky enough to own such a machine and we then discussed the fairness of using this work in competitions. Is it time perhaps to have a separate section for this kind of work? What do other readers think?
