Letters Online

Request for information

We are publishing in 2000 a book on Wessex Embroidery by Gay Eaton. It is inspired by the work of Mrs Margaret Foster, a gifted, creative and prolific needlewoman who exhibited some of her work in the 1930s and whose work has been featured in past issues of The World of Embroidery. It has been difficult to find personal information about her and there must surely be a fascinating story to tell. Should any readers of the magazine be related to Mrs Foster, who lived in Bath, or have any information about her background, such as her education and those influences that encouraged and shaped this creativity, we would be extremely grateful to hear from them. We would like to include in this new book an acknowledgement to all who assist with information.
