Historical and contemporary stumpwork & relief embroideryI would like to make contact with people who have a knowledge of either historical and/or contemporary stumpwork/relief embroidery.
I am currently working towards a masters degree in embroidery. My own art/embroidery practice involves three-dimensional/relief embroidery and mixed media (a mix that seems to be provoking some discussion!).
I am interested in following up the non-typical historical works - both technically and theme-wise. I am also interested in sharing thoughts with contemporary embroiderers/artists.
