Embroidery as Therapy

I am an occupational therapist carrying out a study of the meaning of textile art to people living with long-term illness and/or chronic pain. My colleagues and I are interested in how involvement in textile art helps people to cope with illness and we aim to develop a better understanding of the creative process. I received a considerable number of volunteers from a previous request published in January 2001 but the project is ongoing and I would like to welcome new participants to the study. Readers can contact me by e-mail or post, I will send further details about the study.
